Hey guys welcome the new Rookie! Thomas Dunnam, better known around the swamp as, Cuatro. He has been chasing fowl since he was a youngster, Thanks to his Dad. “Hard Core Cuatro” has taken on a new role in TQS not only as Pro Staff’r but as a Distributor. He orders shirts by the bulk for his family, friends and all the other duck hunters in his region. He will be at Duck Jam April 29th-30th 2011 Jamming with the TQS Crew so come out and meet him. He is also planning on subsidizing his duck hunting habit by selling shirts to his hunters once he gets his guide business up and running.

Like all the other Pro Staff, Hard Core Cuatro was brought up by his father learning the essence of our sport and he developed his own robust spirit logging many hours with his Dad and his many friends. TQS Pro Limit Larson has watched Cuatro’s rising duck fever over the last several years and has hunted with him enough to bestow the title, Hard Core, because he isn’t scared to get out of bed in bitter sub-freezing gale force winds, stay the distance to crack a limit of ducks just because it is more fun in the elements than in a nice warm bed.

Hard Core says, “What off season?” He is always on the go around Texas checking out spots for next year’s season plus he is in charge of helping maintain his family’s lodge and duck tools Bad Boy Trucks, American Airboat, Skinny Water Boat, Shotguns, Decoys, Tuning calls, and promoting TQS.

Donnie Childress is an avid duck and goose hunter and has been hunting along the Texas coast since the age of six. He spends most of the waterfowl season in Port O Conner, Texas, guiding hunts. He has a true passion for the sport.

Jeff

Jeff has been featured in hunting magazines, outdoor radio talk shows and outdoor TV shows. Jeff's specialty is the ma Drsh between Port O'Connor and Seadrift areas of Texas. Jeff has duck hunted and guided all over the world, Africa, Argentina, Mexico, and Arkansas.

Jeff has 3 favorite blinds 2 in Texas and 1 in Mexico, he says he will never give up that info. 2008-2009 season. Jeff has logged over 200 ducks with his buddies and 2 bird bands plus there is still plenty of days left of the season to net 300.

Brennen

AGE: 10

Brennen is 10 years old and is following in his dad's wader steps. He whistles pintails and widgeon in the blocks with the best of 'em. He has the desire of a 20 year old TEXAS QUACK SMACKER and the knowledge of a veteran. Brennen has his own blind in the Matagorda Island, Marsh Country out of Port O'Connor. Brennen has logged over 20 ducks this year with a single shot 410. He has 1 bird band that he got last year off a pintail drake.

In the off season,  the lil’ smacker competes in Duck and Goose Calling Contest all over Texas. He uses the Suzie Smack Down and the custom Bad Boy Blue Texas Quack Smacker call to WOO the judges. He typically competes in the Jr Divisions but is not scared to compete in the Sr. Division with his dad on team events.

The Texas Quack Smacker Custom Bad Boy Blue call along with the Suzie Smack Down has won him the following duck calling events:
1st Place – Jr. Real Duck – Worlds Largest Waterfowl Calling Contest.
1st Place – Jr. Meat Duck – Worlds Largest Waterfowl Calling Contest.
1st Place – Jr. Open Duck – Worlds Largest Waterfowl Calling Contest.
Best Overall Jr. Waterfowl Calling Champion.
2nd Place – Jr. Real Duck – World Waterfowl Calling Championships.
3rd Place – Sr. Real Duck – Worlds Largest Waterfowl Calling Contest.

Bad Boy Blue is not too bad with a goose call either:
1st Place – Jr. Snow Goose – Worlds Largest Waterfowl Calling Contest.
1st Place – Jr. Specklebelly – Worlds Largest Waterfowl Calling Contest.
Best Overall Jr. Waterfowl Calling Champion.
2nd Place – Snow Goose – World Waterfowl Calling Championships.

Not bad for 2009! Due to his success at an early age he has also been featured on ESPN 1040 am with Johnny “D” and Doug Pike enjoys interviewing him for his Houston Outdoor Production. Keeping “HI-SPEED” grounded is a chore but the mud holes and deep water do the trick. The neighbors know when he is about to compete because they pleasantly tolerate the loud hi ball calling he does to expand his lungs before any event.

Philip Douglas has been hunting throughout Texas almost his whole life. Texas and hunting go hand in hand and are his two true obsessions. At 12 after a trip to Port O'Conner with long time hunting buddy Donnie, he caught the waterfowl bug. Since then the rest is history and he spends his duck seasons smackin em' with the boys.

Louie

Lead Louie grew up duck hunting with his father Louie Senior at the Sea Gun Inn in Rockport, Texas. Louie remembers riding on top of floating decoy bags getting to the duck blind as his dad pulled him in an attempt not to spoil him but to keep him from getting wet and spoil the hunt. When he wasn’t duck hunting the Texas Marsh Country, Big Louie also started Little Louie out goose hunting with the legendary Marvin Tyler of the world famous Blue Goose Hunting Lodge in Eagle Lake, Texas. Louie often reflects on those hunts in the duck blind to remind duck hunters the importance of taking kids hunting.

As a kid many moons ago, Lead Louie worked in Canada with Ducks Unlimited Biologists collecting data for their bird band banding effort for the different Flyways. Now he is passing on his family traditions to his twin boys Cody and Louie V which were featured in a duck hunting article in the Texas Sporting Journal a few months ago. Louie has hunted ducks and guided duck hunts all over the world from Canada down into Mexico .

A side note about Lead Louie, Louie is the Texas State Champion Turkey Caller, 2009. He has won this title 4 out of the last 7 years. When asked about how that makes him a great duck hunter, He replies, “It doesn’t, I can’t hunt ducks all year long.” Louie’s duck hunting history, passion and heritage makes him a vital part of the TQS Pro Staff.

Cody

AGE: 24

Cody grew up gunning in the Texas coastal marshes and has since chased his feathered quarry all over the state from the south Texas bays to the panhandle playas. His college career presented him with spectacular opportunities to hunt in Arkansas and then to the big river systems of east Texas for 3 seasons. Now graduated he is back on the Texas coast guiding and working in the insurance business when not afield.
